Foursquareopoly

In a unique move to try and breathe some much needed life into the tired Foursquare, Art Director Deanna McDonald (and others) are looking to bring some of the things we love about Monopoly and take them into the real world.

The concept (still in development) looks to integrate with your Foursquare account, and then turns the city into your game board. Users each start with $100,000, and then purchase and trade property to build their virtual empire. Its a cool concept, and if executed correctly on it’s release could really make a splash.

The game itself is actually very similar to an app I reported on a few months ago called Turf. And although both look very different (Turf going for a cute pixel look), both are gunning for the same location-based game at around the same time. I wonder who will beat the other to it in the race to bring Monopoly to the real-world?
