Aussie Street Artists invade the UK (and soon, the USA).
Take a walk around the side streets and alleyways of Melbourne and you’re bound to bump into a less-than-friendly face. Nah, not the stabby meth freaks or Zara junkies. I’m talking about the creations of Meggs, Lister and Kid-Zoom.
The three were coincidentally in London at the same time, so Very Nearly Almost called their mates It Drew Itself and everyone got together in an abandoned warehouse to paint a street triptych and talk about their unique styles.
The result is pretty spectacular. And only out-spectaculared by the announcement last night that the trio will be joining every other Aussie artist ever, for a group show in San Fran. More on that at Young And Free.
So there you have it. Melbourne graf is killin’ it worldwide. If only there were a trophy or medal or certificate of participation the boys could bring home.
